- Collect luggage
- Get through the airport and head for the long-distance train station
Morning — Frankfurt → Berlin
- Target either the approximately 7:00 AM or 9:00 AM train
- Travel by ICE to Berlin Hauptbahnhof
- Expected arrival: late morning to early afternoon

Early Afternoon — Berlin Airbnb
- Berlin home base: Chausseestraße 36, 10115 Berlin-Mitte.
- From Berlin Hauptbahnhof, take tram M5 or M8 to U Naturkundemuseum, then walk the short distance to the apartment.
- The Airbnb listing says the apartment is about a 5-minute tram ride from Berlin Hauptbahnhof and about 150 meters from U Naturkundemuseum (U6).
- The listing does not offer luggage storage. If we arrive before check-in, contact the host about possible early check-in; it is subject to availability and may carry an extra fee.
Afternoon — OPEN
- No scheduled sightseeing
- Rest, unpack, walk around near the Airbnb, have a drink, or do something spontaneous
- This stays intentionally open after the overnight flight
